The Swim-A-Thon will be rescheduled to a later date! We will keep you posted.
Stars & Strokes: Swim-A-Thon 2020
This is an Olympic Year and we are READY to witness the best athletes in the world go for gold! As we prepare for and take part in this event on April 4, we will strive to not only Go To Greatness and Dig Deep as our team mottos, but will aim to live up to the Olympic Motto: Hendiatris, Citius, Altius, Fortius, which in Latin means "Faster, Higher, Stronger"!
It's Swim-A-Thon time! The SAT is not just a fundraiser or time to "come swim laps", this is a time to come together and celebrate Crawfish Aquatics and raise funds to help secure future growth, service and success. We will have raffle prizes (who wants to win 1 year free dues?), a DJ, event photography, lunch for the family...and the coaches dunking booth and the Head Coach pie-face is back again for 2020.
The Silent Auction is going MOBILE this year, opening up the week of the event so that friends and family that may not be able to attend the event can still support CA and pick up some great items, even from afar.
And the Grand Prize for the highest earner (through Swim-A-Thon funds and auction item sales): A trip for 4 to Omaha, June 24-26 for the Olympic Swimming Trials! This includes flight, hotel and tickets!
*Make up date: We will have a make up date for swimmers that cannot attend on April 4 to swim their laps and still solicit sponsors- dates TBA.
The Crawfish Aquatics Swim-A-Thon fundraiser is one of our most important sources of income for those items outside our normal operating expenses. Donations and financial sponsorship help us to maintain the range and level of quality programming that we provide. Dues alone will NEVER cover all costs of maintaining pools and running a high-quality swim program. Funds raised by your swimmer will go toward your annual fundraising obligation. Plus, its a fun team event and highlight each year!
Success of the Swim-A-Thon allows us to meet our annual budget needs, make capital improvements, purchase equipment, assist in team travel trips, support Community Outreach Swim Lessons and Scholarships and make improvements to the age group swimming programs. This fundraising event is vital to our organization both financially and as a team building event.
100% Tax Deductible: Crawfish Agape International functions as the non-profit arm of Crawfish Aquatics as a 501(c)(3) status. EIN 47-3606420. Make donation checks to Crawfish Agape International or donate online! More info and EIN letter.
Corporate Matching eligible! If you are submitting a donation for corporate matching, please contact the office also to inform when it has been submitted. This will allow us to watch for any required paperwork or online forms we must complete or alert you if we do not receive communication or request of information.
SILENT AUCTION: Getting Started
Getting Started with the Swim-A-Thon & Registration
Head to the Fundraising Website/Online Donation website
-Step 1: Register Account. This is your event RSVP- even if you are not using a personal page to raise funds.
-Step 2: Purchase Event Shirt.
-Step 3: Send out emails, share on social media, ask in person, send letters, etc! There are promotional images you can use on social media, in emails or letters and even sample text that will automatically populate on your swimmer's page (that you can edit, or leave!).
Don't delay in getting started! Once you get your first online donation you will receive special edition event swim cap featuring the Crawfish + torch icon! Be sure to wear this at practice between now and the SAT,- there will be incentives from your coaches (cap distribution begins the last week of February). There are other incentives for reaching specific donation levels by specific dates- see the Prizes page on the fundraising website for details.
**About the personal fundraising website: while you do not have to utilize this individual page to raise funds, each participant needs to register through the site (you will want that event swim cap!). Checks and cash donations can be accepted ("offline donations") and then entered on your account to track your totals. See event resource page for how to enter checks/cash to your swimmer's account and set up help guide.
