USA Swimming recognizes athletes that excel both in the pool & the classroom at the end of each school year:
- Grade completion requirement- must have completed 10th 11th or 12th grade
- GPA Requirement- minimum 3.5 GPA for the current academic year
- Pool Performance- must have swum an individual pool time equal to a Winter Junior qualifying time in any individual event during the SAA qualifying period (August to July of the following year)
