Meet Schedule
More specific leading up to meet will be shared in regard to the time to arrive; athletes should always communicate with their coach to confirm times during the meet as to what time to be at pool for warm ups.
- Thursday (1650 Free only)- 4:30pm warm up/ 6:00pm start (all other state swimmers not competing on Friday will have Thurs practice).
- Friday prelims, 7:55 – 8:20 AM (arrive & be ready for warm up, 7:45am; meet begins 9:00am).
- Saturday prelims, 7:30 – 7:55 AM (arrive & be ready for warm up, 7:20am; meet begins 9:00am).
- Sunday prelims, 8:20 – 8:45 AM (arrive & be ready for warm up, 7:45am; meet begins 9:00am).
- Finals, Fri/Sat/Sun, 4:00-4:45pm (meet begins 5:00pm)
Friday evening- no team dinner; we are not able to serve dinner on the campus/in the field area.
Team Outfitting:
-Shirt colors: Fri, white; Sat, red; Sun, black
-CA White swim caps only; tech suits are allowed for all sessions
Meet Fees
-$10 Championship Meet Team Fee
-Standard meet fees /surcharge as outlined in the meet invitation
Relays: Relays are Timed Finals events (swim once). Coaches will announce tentative relays ahead of the meet but they will be confirmed at the meet. Check in with coaches daily about relays before leaving the meet (just because you weren't initially on one or not on a relay Saturday, you could be added later, etc.).
-200 Free and 200 Medley relays will be swum at the end of Prelims on Friday and Saturday
-400 Free and 400 Medley relays will be swum at Finals on Friday and Saturday.
Schedule and Meet Format Notes
- "Timed Finals" events are events that are swum once (these events are notated with "T/F" on the Event Order document).
Individual events that are TF format and fall on Sat/Sun will have the top 16 swimmers competing at night with all other swimmers in the event swimming in the morning, but the results from both sessions are combined for the final ranking of the event. - Prelim/Final Format events are swum at the morning prelim session, with the Top 16 finishers returning in the afternoon to compete again. The event is ranked and scored based on the Finals swims.
- Thursday Night:

-Prelims: All events are "Prelims/Finals format" with the exception of the 10 & Under 200 Free and relays which are "Timed Finals". Top 16 for the 10 & U 200 free will at swim at night in Finals.
-Finals session: All swimmers finishing in the Top 16 will return to compete at Finals. (see notes above regarding 10 & U 200 Free) - Saturday:
-Prelims: All events are "Prelims/Finals format" with the exception of the 11-12 500 Free and relays which are "Timed Finals". Top 8 in the 11-12 500 Free will at swim at night in Finals.
-Finals session: All swimmers finishing in the Top 16 will return to compete at Finals (see notes above about 11-12 500 Free) - Sunday AM:
-Prelims: All events are "Prelims/Finals format" with the exception of the 10 & Under 200 IM and the the 14 & U 1000 Free which is "Timed Finals". Top 16 for the 10 & U 200 free will at swim at night in Finals. The top 4 female and male participants in the 1000Y Free will compete together in a single heat to be contested at the beginning of Sunday Finals.
-Finals session: All swimmers finishing in the Top 16 will return to compete at Finals (see notes above about 10 & U 200 IM / 14 & U 1000 Free)
